The Children’s Courtyard Introduces InvestiGator Club for Preschool

ARLINGTON, Texas, Aug. 14, 2014 – Calling all inquisitive preschoolers!  The InvestiGator Club is coming to The Children’s Courtyard beginning this fall, transforming story time into an opportunity for young learners to solve mysteries, tackle problems and investigate their world.

The award-winning InvestiGator Club curriculum uses engaging, interactive storytelling and children’s own creativity to provide dynamic learning experiences. Integrating social and emotional needs as well as physical abilities for young children, the program aligns to Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards.

“Storytelling and dramatic play give children an opportunity to think out loud and work through new ideas while exploring their own unique identities,” said Dr. Susan Canizares, Chief Academic Officer, The Children’s Courtyard. “By engaging children’s natural curiosity through interactive storytelling, we’re supporting learning comprehension in literacy, math, and science – as well as developing their critical and creative thinking capability.”

The Place for Curious Young Learners
As members of The InvestiGator Club, preschoolers develop school readiness skills as they interact with a colorful and endearing cast of animal characters. Dilly Gator, JT Gator, Great Auntie Lu and other characters guide the children through a series of adventures that lead to investigations of the world around them. Children can easily relate to the lessons the characters explore as they become familiarized with new concepts and find imaginative ways to resolve the problems presented in each story.

The Children’s Courtyard also is providing parents with InvestiGator Club resources to help families continue the learning experience at home.
