Medlock Bridge Montessori Offers New Two Programs

ALPHARETTA, Ga., August 25, 2010 – Medlock Bridge Montessori (part of the Montessori Unlimited family of schools) is excited to offer two new programs to further prepare children for educational success.

The school has just implemented a Pre-Primary classroom, designed for children between the ages of 2-3 years. At this age, children are ready to begin exploring the world of Montessori and have been introduced to potty training. However they may not be socially or academically ready for the other multi-aged classrooms.

The children will be cared for by highly-trained teachers in a wonderfully equipped classroom. They will be introduced to their first lessons, socialization and a variety of practical life activities. When they are ready, they will be gradually and gently transitioned into the other classrooms.

In addition, Medlock Bridge Montessori is now offering a full-day Montessori program. Previously, the authentic Montessori teaching ended at 3:00 p.m. and “after-school” care was provided. Now, for the same great price, children will receive a full academic day in the Montessori Method.

Children will still have constructive play time, snacks and outdoor time, but they will have the opportunity to continue working with the Montessori materials, all under the guidance of certified teachers. Lessons and projects will include some of the children’s favorite subjects including science, art, music, exercise and movement, and even yoga.

“We are happy to offer enhanced programs that give local families an opportunity to engage their child in a Montessori education,” said Deborah Manger, director of Medlock Bridge Montessori. “The early years are so important for a child’s educational journey and we are honored to give them the tools they need to succeed in school and in life.”

Enrollments are now being accepted, however space is limited. Contact Medlock Bridge Montessori for more information at 770-623-1965.
