Learning Care Group, Inc. Names Erin J. Wallace Chief Operating Officer

NOVI, Mich., Jan. 20, 2015 – Learning Care Group, Inc. announces today that Disney executive Erin J. Wallace will join the organization as Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective Feb. 9, 2015. Learning Care Group is the second-largest for-profit early education and childcare provider in North America.

As COO, Wallace will be responsible for leading over 16,000 Learning Care Group employees in delivering operational excellence to the families served at more than 900 schools throughout its umbrella of brands: Childtime, The Children’s Courtyard, La Petite Academy, Montessori Unlimited and Tutor Time.

Wallace’s career encompasses 30 years of leadership at The Walt Disney Company, which she joined as an industrial engineer in 1985. Since that time, she has assumed increasing levels of responsibility in a variety of managerial roles within Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

Wallace has served as Executive Vice President of Operations Strategy, Planning and Revenue Management for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts since 2009, working with all of Disney Parks’ domestic and international sites.  For the previous seven years, she was Senior Vice President of Walt Disney World Operations – overseeing the largest and most popular resort destination in the world.  She has also served as vice president of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom® and general manager for Disney’s Animal Kingdom® and Disney’s All-Star Resort.

A native Floridian from St. Petersburg, Wallace graduated with honors from the University of Florida (UF) and was recognized with the Distinguished Alumni Award from UF in 2012. She earned her MBA from Rollins College Crummer School of Business in 1993. In 2006, Wallace was inducted into the Crummer Graduate School of Business Alumni Hall of Fame.

Wallace has been an active member of the Central Florida community, serving on numerous academic and civic boards and committees. She is also a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the Society of Women Engineers. A mother of two adult children, Erin and her husband, Steve, will relocate to Michigan.
