Learning Care Group, Inc. Names Barbara Beck Chief Executive Officer

NOVI, Mich., January 11, 2011 – Learning Care Group, Inc. announces today that Barbara J. Beck will join the organization as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective March 1, 2011. Learning Care Group is the second-largest for-profit child care provider in North America, operating more than 1,000 schools in 36 states, with the capacity to serve approximately 156,000 children.

As CEO, Beck will focus on the company’s mission of building a customer-centric culture that is based on educational excellence, quality and innovation.

“I am looking forward to joining Learning Care Group where I can incorporate my passion and long-standing interest in early education with my extensive experience in managing a large, mission-driven multi-unit organization,” said Beck. “I am confident that under my leadership, we will further enhance the company’s commitment to our families and their children’s educational success, as well as to our employees.”

Most recently, Beck served as President of Manpower’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations. This region was the largest business unit within Manpower, generating over $8 billion in revenues with 11,000 employees across 30 countries.

Beck has also been named one of the “Top 15 Women in Business” by Pink Magazine and has been recognized for advancing the status of women in the public and private sectors, creating a culture where women leaders have a profound impact on an organization’s growth.
