“I have dedicated my career to children’s education and love being a part of a child’s growth at every age level.” Evelyn Belcher is retiring after spending 50 incredible years with our Learning Care Group (LCG) family.
She has held many positions over the past five decades, most recently serving as the beloved director at Tutor Time on Old St. Augustine Rd. in Jacksonville, Florida. Evelyn’s district manager, Samantha Hooper, says she’ll be missed very much. “She has been outstanding in each and every [role]. The team at [her school] cannot say enough wonderful things that Evelyn does every day.”
Evelyn is a fierce advocate for habit strength, something that will leave a lasting impact. In 2023, her school was recognized for staff members achieving 100% on the High-Risk Moment Assessment. Her leadership and outstanding dedication to early childhood education have made a sincere difference among colleagues and families alike. “I take pride in building a strong sense of community, both inside and outside of school, and partnering with parents and teachers to ensure lifelong learning,” Evelyn beams.
Of her achievements over the past 50 years, Region Manager Danny Ghandour remarks, “Evelyn is a testament to the culture here at LCG. She has had a positive influence on those who have had the pleasure to interact with her. She is the subject matter expert in her district and the region for anything regarding the ECE industry. Her most prevalent attribute is her calm and assuring nature, which has inspired her teams throughout her journey while instilling trust in parents to bring their children to her center every day.”
Ghandour echoes our sincere sentiment in wishing Evelyn the very best in her retirement. “Evelyn’s insurmountable passion, care, knowledge, and commitment to LCG and the ECE industry has created a legacy which cannot be quantified.”
In response to her remarkable career and reaching this milestone moment, Evelyn says it’s hard to sum up her feelings as she reflects on a lifetime of memories. “I will forever be grateful for the support and encouragement I received over the years,” she smiles. “I continue to be amazed at the loving dedication of our team members. When we put children first, we provide them with success and instill a passion of lifelong learning. I am proud to have been a part of an organization that provides children and team members with a healthy environment to work, grow, and learn in. I am forever grateful.”
And so are we! Join us in thanking Evelyn for 50 outstanding years of service and commitment to LCG.
