Kathryn Winkelhaus
Chief Operating Officer

Kathryn Winkelhaus has served as the Chief Operating Officer at Learning Care Group since September 16, 2003.

Winkelhaus previously served for 23 years at Borders Group Inc., most recently as a member of the Executive Committee and the President of Merchandising and Distribution. Winkelhaus held various positions at Borders, including President, Borders Group Stores; President, Waldenbooks Stores; and Senior Vice President, Store Operations—Waldenbooks.

Born in Springfield, Ohio in 1956, Winkelhaus holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan. She has been active in numerous organizations promoting children’s literacy, including Reading Is Fundamental.
